Choose Your Own Adventure

I wanted to share my perspective on leveraging AI (Artificial Intelligence) as a support tool rather than the ultimate decision-maker.
During a recent interview, I emphasized the importance of viewing AI as an assistant in diagnosing issues, with the ultimate responsibility of resolving them resting on humans.
Reflecting on a past experience eight years ago, when troubleshooting SSO (Single Sign-On) onboarding, the complexity of the process involved various potential issues like vendor problems, service glitches, certificate requirements, malformed XMLs, and more. The key to uncovering the root cause lay in meticulously analyzing extensive log files.
If AI had been available to streamline this investigative process, I am confident that resolving my Identity issues would have been significantly expedited.
In my view, the relationship with AI is similar to navigating a "Choose Your Own Adventure" novel. AI presents us with options, but it is our cognitive capabilities that guide the decision-making process.

I believe technology should enhance our intelligence rather than diminish it. For instance, do you recall the days when we memorized countless phone numbers?
