Tangy Take: Roles being put on hold and the coincidental timing.

I had previously posted a similar thought in 2023, but I wanted to revisit the topic of roles being placed on hold after the final round. It’s quite coincidental that in all these cases, the timing is the same, and there’s a correlation between doing a fictional versus non-fictional case study.

Has anyone successfully pushed back on doing a final project or case study for a real-life scenario? I haven’t heard of any successful outcomes. When you’re unemployed, the hope and enthusiasm you have in the final round are immeasurable. You just want to show your worth and value.

Here’s a dire plea to those in hiring positions: please be better humans. If you’re only posting jobs for market research and not to actually fill them with candidates, please stop until we have a better job market.
