I Lived Off Of Cheez-It's

Twenty years ago, I embarked on a journey from Southern New Jersey to North Carolina, a significant milestone worth reminiscing about.
With just a Compaq Presario laptop, a microwave, and a trash bag holding my clothes, I made the move without a job lined up or familiar faces to welcome me.
A detail I often overlook is the kindness of my New Jersey colleagues who noticed my diet mainly consisted of Cheez-It's. On my farewell, they gifted me half a dozen boxes, a gesture that sustained me through tough times when food was scarce.
Despite the initial struggle of living off condiments when the crackers ran out and sleeping on the floor until I secured employment, I occasionally opt for the low-fat version of Cheez-It's as a reminder of those challenging days.
Reflecting on my past resilience, where I survived with no savings, fills me with hope for whatever challenges lie ahead.
Looking forward, I remain open to opportunities beyond North Carolina, willing to relocate nationally or internationally if the perfect opportunity arises. Here's to embracing the unknown - daunting yet essential for growth, as no reward comes without taking risks.
