We All Deserve Independence

Today, amidst the usual routine, the significance of holidays fades when faced with unemployment.
In the backdrop of Independence Day in the United States this year, there's a poignant contradiction.
As highlighted by the American Immigration Council: https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/fact-sheet/immigrants-in-the-united-states/ the fabric of the nation is woven with diversity: "One in seven U.S. residents is an immigrant, while one in eight residents is a native-born U.S. citizen with at least one immigrant parent."
However, in 2025, equality in freedom eludes some Americans. Despite their substantial contributions through tax payments and indispensable roles in sectors like farming, maintenance, technology, construction, and healthcare.
Celebrating our nation's complex heritage today is a challenging task, especially when there are forces seeking to rewrite history and erase the existence of these significant contributors.
On this ordinary day, my focus remains on enhancing my portfolio, submitting job applications, and expanding my professional network. Simultaneously, I stand in solidarity with those whose voices are often silenced by fear.
