I am deeply inspired by stories of unwavering determination, especially when they require immense patience to achieve the desired outcome.
This morning, two true stories of athletes come to mind. The first is the story of Rudy, which was adapted into a movie starring Sean Astin. The second is a recent achievement by Formula 1 driver Nico Hulkenberg.
"Rudy has always been told that he was too small to play college football. But he is determined to overcome the odds and fulfill his dream of playing for Notre Dame." -https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108002/
"Fifteen years, 239 lights out, and 42 retirements into his career, Nico Hulkenberg is a Formula 1 podium finisher." -https://www.thedrive.com/news/nico-hulkenbergs-underdog-story-is-exactly-what-f1-needed
In both cases, outsiders might have thought their goals were too ambitious and that giving up would be the easier path. However, they persevered, and their efforts eventually paid off.
I understand that many might view my dreams as unattainable, whether it's launching this site, becoming a voice in the Identity community, or sharing my expertise in Product Management. The reality is that I've never had formal mentoring; everything I've accomplished is due to my persistence.
While others benefited from a supportive environment that paved the way for their success, I lacked this opportunity both professionally and personally, which is why you can't count me out.
