Product Managers as Consumers

As a Product Manager, what is your biggest "gripe" about being a consumer on certain products?
For me, it is account management. Being able to self-serve is key, not only for customer satisfaction, but the security of a system.
Take my current real-life scenario:
Updating email addresses
Not only is it extremely slow to update all of my accounts across various platforms, it is also very taxing to have to contact support on the individual sites to have them manually update my email address when there is no option to do so myself.
I have received this response numerous times on sites that I cannot self-serve my account details -
“Unfortunately an email address change or account transfer is not an available option. It is simply a limitation of our system and we do hope to have a way to do this in the future. We do apologize for any inconvenience.
You can simply start a new account with your new/correct email address using the link below. Have a great day!”
I do appreciate they wished me a great day, but I do not appreciate that I now have to create a new account in the system and lose my previous account history. Not to mention there is now a stale account in the system that needs to be deleted and/or deactivated.
There has to be a better way, correct?
As consumers, are there any issues that you deal with daily that you believe can be solved with smarter technology?
