If you find yourself seated next to me at a brewery, chances are our conversation will inevitably veer towards technology. It's a sad truth but I've often repeated to whomever will listen: when a company delves into AI (Artificial Intelligence), investing in the accompanying data is paramount – a well-known fact.
Personally, I hold no aversion to AI as long as it is approached with responsibility and ethics, right from its conception to its implementation.
But what I fail to mention is security.

Recently, CyberArk shed light on a crucial aspect concerning Cybersecurity and AI. Clarence Hinton highlights a significant challenge that many organizations may overlook: "AI and LLMs (Large Language Models) are projected to be the top creators of new identities with privileged and sensitive access in 2025. In fact, while organizations cite AI as the top creator of new identities with privileged access in 2025, 68% of respondents lack the identity security controls needed to manage these technologies safely."
The statistic – 68% – is truly eye-opening! The question arises: How can companies enhance their readiness? The key lies in securing and automating identities throughout all stages, especially during creation.
